WASP Wildfire Protection Kit

The NRWD is offering the WASP Wildfire Protection Kits at a subsidized rate of $75! The regular rate is $250+

To qualify you must:

  • be located within the district boundaries
  • submit an application form and receive a response approval from our staff 
  • provide $75 subsidy payment by cheque, cash or e-transfer

The WASP Wildfire Sprinkler systems are designed to protect your home from floating embers from wildfires. The system gets water onto the roof and surrounding area of your home to put the embers out. 

Included in this kit are:

  • 2 gutter mount sprinkler brackets
  • 2 agricultural grade, wind fighting sprinkler heads
  • 2 facia/fence brackets for homes and structures without gutters
  • 2 fire department grade 25 foot lay-flat hoses with standard connectors

Environmental Bundle

The Northeast Red Watershed District offers a bundle of enivornmentally friendly products at a subsized cost to landowners within the district boundaries. 

*PROGRAM IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABLE FUNDS. LIMITED APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE. APPLICATION FORM WILL BE REMOVED WHEN PROGRAM IS FULL FOR THE YEAR*

Eligibility:

  • must be located within the watershed district boundaries

  • must pay the required subsidy

Funding:

*All bundles come with one bat house, one bee house and one rain gauge.*

  • Bundle with only one of either a compost bin or rain barrel: $50 subsidy
  • Bundle with both rain barrel and compost bin: $100 subsidy.
